
Serbia's Čoka Rakita Gold Mine Breaks Ground as DPM Metals Brings First Ore to Surface
DPM Metals has achieved a landmark milestone at its Čoka Rakita gold project in Serbia, extracting first ore from what is set to become one of Europe's most significant new gold mines. The underground operation, located 35 kilometres northwest of Bor, carries a net present value of $782 million and is projected to produce 1.34 million ounces of gold over its nine-year life. The development marks a major injection of mining capital into the Western Balkans.
