Novo Nordisk is closing its internal cell therapy unit and licensing a Parkinson's disease asset to the AI-driven Cellular Intelligence platform, even as its shares gained 24.9% over 30 days on strong core earnings. The move comes as NVIDIA, MindWalk, Basecamp Research and other 'bio-native AI' platforms build foundation-model infrastructure that incumbent pharma is increasingly renting rather than building in-house.
